A BSB student will represent France at the Y20 summit

Mahir Er-Rabty, a student at BSB's Master Grande Ecole, specialising in Audit Expertise Conseil, was selected by the Open Diplomacy Institute to represent France at the Y20, the official G20 youth summit.

A remarkable distinction that testifies to his commitment and ambition on major international issues. And the propensity of BSB to train profiles capable of meeting the challenges of our world.

A unique opportunity to bring the voice of young people to the global level

The Y20 is an essential platform where young leaders from around the world discuss major economic and social issues. In 2025, this event will precede the G20 summit in South Africa, offering Mahir and his delegation the opportunity to formulate concrete proposals for heads of state.

Selected from 184 candidates, Mahir joins a prestigious delegation alongside students from Sciences Po, École Polytechnique, ESSEC, Audencia and ISAE-SUPAERO. He is the youngest of the five French delegates selected to participate in the Y20.

A journey marked by commitment

Originally from Côte-d'Or, Mahir follows his alternate master's degree in the Audit Expertise Consulting sector while actively investing in issues of global governance and social inclusion. Her motivation and seriousness allowed her to successfully pass through the various selection stages.

It was the hardest interview of my life. We spoke both in French and English, and the jury confronted me with problems that I had not thought of”, explains Mahir.

During this interview, he was able to demonstrate his commitment by defending a proposal on menstrual precariousness, a global issue requiring concrete measures to guarantee access to hygiene products for all women.

A summit prepared with rigor

Before flying to South Africa this summer, Mahir will participate in four training seminars organized by the Open Diplomacy Institute, in order to prepare for international negotiations. The objective on site? Develop a Final press release presenting recommendations on crucial topics such as energy transition, debt in developing countries and resilience to climate crises.

This summit was set up to give younger generations more freedom and voices to better understand their concerns. Everything we are going to work on will have an impact on the future”, enthuses Mahir.

BSB, a springboard to major international adventures

This selection shows once again that BSB trains students who are ready to evolve on the international scene and to meet the challenges of the contemporary world. The School is always committed to encouraging the initiatives of its students and to offering them the opportunities they need to achieve their ambitions.
