UP 2027: BSB's new strategic plan
Student experience, new campus in Lyon, academic excellence and cutting-edge expertise...: the School presents its ambitions in 5 years
Since 2012, BSB has consistently pursued a strategy of upscaling in terms of academic excellence, differentiation and growth. To continue its momentum, BSB is committed to UP 2027, its new strategic plan for 2022 to 2027, which was presented to the press on December 1 in Paris (photo). This plan is based on 5 major pillars that are just as ambitious:
- Becoming the reference school for the student experience
- Asserting itself as the 2nd Business School in Lyon
- Strengthen academic excellence and deploy leadership in three areas of expertise
- Transforming into a fully international school
- Give ourselves the financial, human and material resources to ensure the success of this ambitious strategic plan
Becoming the reference school for student experience
BSB cultivates a strong and recognized identity built around proximity and support, thanks to a size of school that ensures human and personalized relationships.
To go even further, BSB is deploying Pathfinder™, a new global system that accompanies students from the first day at the School to their first job, with a transversal vision: academic, professional, entrepreneurial and personal. A team of dedicated, certified coaches, as well as digital and artificial intelligence tools are mobilized.
BSB will also implement an innovative Wellness Center with the ambition of placing the student in the best conditions to carry out his project — with the conviction that a student who is good in his environment, in his body and in his mind, is a happy student, and thus has the best disposition to learn. This structure in development will provide specific support on aspects related to health and well-being.
Asserting itself as the second business school in Lyon
While most of the French Grandes Ecoles de Management focus on Paris, BSB stands out and reinforces its commitment to Lyon, where it has been based since 2012. A brand new 9,000 m2 campus in Lyon is thus announced by 2025. It will accommodate 2,500 students, replicating the student-centered school model that has made BSB successful in Dijon.
Strengthen academic excellence and deploy leadership in three areas of expertise
BSB is first counting on obtaining AMBA accreditation to join the very exclusive club of business schools with the AACSB, EQUIS and AMBA triple crown.
With its School of Wine & Spirits Business, BSB is already an international leader in wine and spirits management. An online Wine & Spirits Business MBA and an apprenticeship “wine management” master's degree will be created to diversify the educational offer. A Wine Observatory will also be created and will offer strategic intelligence tools.
Committed for more than 30 years to the management of the arts and creative industries, BSB will launch a School of Arts & Creative Industries, inspired by the success story of the School of Wine.
Since 2007, BSB has been developing cutting-edge expertise in experimental and behavioral economics. The aim here is to strengthen the research potential of LESSAC, one of the most important behavioral science laboratories in Europe.
Transforming into a fully international school
This will not require establishments abroad, but through a profound evolution of the School, with the continued internationalization of the faculty and the transition to more than 20% of international students on campuses.
Give ourselves the financial, human and material resources to ensure the success of this ambitious strategic plan
To materialize the conditions for the success of this strategic plan, a global transformation of BSB has been initiated in parallel: through its organization and management, the structuring of the financial dimension, a corporate culture whose driving force is CSR, and finally via the digitalization of the School.
