First anniversary for Vine & Wine Expertise Thursdays

Since March 2023, the BSB School of Wine & Spirits Business has been hosting Les Jeudis Expertise Vigne & Vin, a monthly meeting co-organized with the GIP Pôle Bourgogne Vigne et Vin which aims to bring researchers from the region closer together and to strengthen the proximity between academic research and the wine industry. As the event has just celebrated its first anniversary, the results of this year are clearly positive, with participants praising its rich, friendly and interdisciplinary dimension.

Effective formula

Each month, a researcher comes to present their work and themes in order to introduce them to all those who wish to discover the diversity of approaches carried out on vines and wine in the various local laboratories.

Each session consists of one hour of exchanges dedicated mainly to the development of inter-knowledge between local research teams working on vines and wine: 20 minutes of presentation, 20 minutes of questions and answers, 20 minutes to continue the discussion over a drink.

This formula is very effective because in a short time, designed to be friendly and intimate, we encourage interdisciplinarity. ”, explains Magalie Dubois, a teacher-researcher in wine economics and marketing at the BSB School of Wine, who coordinates the organization of sessions with Florian Humbert ofthe GIP Burgundy Vine and Wine Cluster.

Diverse and exciting program

The sessions of this first year saw the interventions of:

  • Laurent Gautier on the discourses and terminologies of the wine industry
