Impact partnerships for Masters of Science
Jobs That Make Sense, Natixis, and IBM sponsor four final-year programs
In the final year of the Master Grande Ecole (MGE), BSB students can choose to obtain a double degree by joining one of the eight Masters of Science (MSc) offered by the School. An opportunity for them to specialize in a specific sector and jobs, and a sesame for recruiters.
To establish the reputation of the programs, but above all to expose students concretely to the realities of jobs, to the expertise that is deployed there, and more widely to networks relevant to their future professional activities, four MSc BSB are forging partnerships with the companies Jobs That Make Sense, Natixis and IBM. These sponsor societies will work with students at least once a year.
Toward a better world with Jobs That Make Sense
The MSc Green Tech & Sustainable Societies aims to specialize managers who will be able to assess and design practices, technologies and systems that provide sustainable solutions to communities and organizations. In this sense, a partnership with the first employment platform with a positive impact Jobs That Make Sense makes particularly... sense.
“For 8 years, we have been helping citizens to give meaning to their careers, with the conviction that choosing a job with a positive impact is undoubtedly the most powerful way to act for the ecological and social transition”, explains Nicolas Vergne, Development Manager at Jobs That Make Sense. “We even believe that in the long run only companies that are genuinely committed will be able to recruit. This is the meaning of the major reorientation of the job market that we are bringing about with all the players in the ecosystem: impact organizations, committed citizens, and training organizations.”
“Referencing BSB's MSc Green Tech & Sustainable Societies is particularly relevant for us because this program contributes to the skills of students in the challenges of green and green professions, which are essential for this reorientation. More generally, by showing students the diversity of existing jobs on the platform, there is also the challenge of removing some potential prejudices, in particular on integration into ecological transition professions.”
Prestigious sponsors and committed graduates
Hervé Housse, a member of the Natixis Executive Committee and a BSB'87 alumni, is the sponsor this year of the MSc CFIB (Corporate Finance & Investment Banking) and MSc 3CF (Climate Change & Corporate Finance). “Personally, it is a great pleasure and a great pride to sponsor these promotions,” says Hervé Housse. “In addition to the ties that will be created with my company, I will be eager to transmit to Students some key messages around critical thinking, passion, collective intelligence and ethics.”
Finally, Stéphanie Bernard, Director of Technology Lifecycle Services at IBM and alumni BSB'92, is the sponsor of the MSc IADTM (Artificial Intelligence & Digital Technology Management), taught on the BSB Lyon Campus. “Exchanging on professional life and the diversity of jobs of today and tomorrow, making the company accessible to all, while maintaining its personal interests, are my motivations for supporting this young promotion”, detail she. “My challenge? Transmit to students my passion for technologies in the service of a modern, committed and better world.”
Stéphanie Bernard and Hervé Housse will both speak to the promotions sponsored this year, in particular to discuss their backgrounds and experiences.
