Paris 2024: the flame by Delphine Moulin (BSB'11)

Celebration Director since May 2022

The mission of the Paris 2024 Olympic Games Celebrations department is to offer four months of festivities, accessible and without a ticket, throughout the country, through three major projects:

  • The organization of the torch relay: 69 days, 11,000 porters and more than 450 cities crossed
  • Supporting local authorities and partners in the animation of 2024 clubs and free events, to bring the magic of games to the territories and for all generations.
  • The organization of the Champions Park, which will welcome international Olympic medalists at the foot of the Eiffel Tower to celebrate the emotion of their victory with their fans, the day after their exploits.

The Olympic journey of Delphine Moulin started with the 27.27 bib, like his finish rank at Paris 2024, in April 2018. The secret of his performance? A good preparation! ” I have been working for the Olympic movement since the Athens Olympic Games in 2004. That's a lot of Olympiads, in winter and summer! And on major international sporting events since 2001.

But Paris 2024 is still special. At least for two reasons. First of all, there is the fact of working in France. It is obviously a great source of pride. But also because of my mission. As Director of Celebrations, I lead the team of more than 100 people in charge of the success of the popular and sustainable dimension of Paris 2024.”

Success is collective. What coach is Delphine Moulin? ” I manage an internal team of around forty people, enriched by about 80 people employed by our partner agencies. I am multiplying meetings and field visits so that everyone can fully take ownership of their mission and their contribution to common goals..”
