Mission Handicap: Caisse D'Epargne BFC pursues its commitment

Signature of a new partnership agreement over 3 years, worth €30,000, to support actions around disability at the School

Thursday, February 6, 2020, BSB and the Caisse d'Epargne Bourgogne — Franche-Comté (CEBFC), two institutions committed to diversity, signed a new partnership agreement concerning the School's Disability Mission. The latter, created in 2009, has been supported by the bank since its launch. Multiplying initiatives, it aims to work for the training and professional integration of students with disabilities, and to raise awareness on this problem. The agreement covers the next 3 years and will in particular make it possible to finance a series of targeted actions.

Renewed commitment to supporting students with disabilities

The signing took place on Thursday 6 February at BSB, in the presence in particular of Fabien Chauve, Member of the CEBFC Executive Board, and Stéphan Bourcieu, CEO of BSB (photo). In place for about ten years and extended for 3 years, this partnership illustrates the commitment of the two institutions to the employment of people with disabilities, both in supporting these students, but also in meeting the recruitment needs of companies which, despite their will, are often faced with a shortage of skills or abilities.

The CEBFC, which is contributing €30,000 over the next 3 years via this partnership, is thus continuing its actions to support disabled students at BSB: employment facilitation, reception in companies (internships, missions, work-study programs, etc.), training of trainers, training of trainers, purchase of adapted equipment and software, purchase of adapted equipment and software, participation in the additional costs generated during exams and competitions, and awareness-raising and communication actions around disability.

More than 10 years of Mission Handicap at BSB

Created in 2009, the BSB Handicap Mission also shares this objective of promoting the training and professional integration of students with disabilities. In just over 10 years, hundreds of students in this situation, in very diverse cases, have been very directly affected by the support put in place, and even all BSB students who are made aware of the subject every year. Today, there are precisely 38 students supported by the Mission, including adjustments to their courses and exams, the provision of adapted tools, or assistance in taking into account their disabilities during their working life.

The BSB Handicap Mission also organizes a series of events during the year, and acts through various initiatives: tutoring programs, dedicated conferences, thematic outings (such as the one coming on 19 March at the Museum of Fine Arts, blindfolded), various awareness-raising workshops with school associations, participation of students in the Tous HanScène competition (the BSB team having won the Grand Prix du Cinéma last year for the short film “A Vue” of an eye “), etc.
