The triple crown for BSB!

Less than 1% of business schools are triple accredited in the world: BSB joins this very closed circle after obtaining AMBA accreditation

BSB has just obtained the prestigious triple crown and thus joins the very exclusive circle of management schools holding the three leading international accreditations that are AACSB, EQUIS and AMBA. Less than 1% of business schools — or only 120 institutions out of 15,000 — are in this case around the world.

Thus, after AACSB in 2014 (with a re-accreditation for 5 years in 2019) and then EQUIS 2016 (with a re-accreditation for 3 years in 2022), BSB obtained AMBA accreditation. Delivered by the British organization AMBA (Association of MBAs), it scrupulously assesses programs on the basis of strict criteria and particularly demanding international standards.

This triple label thus offers the greatest international recognition to a major school of management, on four pillars in particular:

  • Academic excellence
  • The quality of international partnerships
  • The power of the professional network
  • The influence of research

A fully launched UP 2027 strategic plan

Beyond the institutional dimensions and the gain in reputation that will allow the School to strengthen itself in many aspects, this triple crown is great news for BSB graduates and students, since this distinction is a sesame of attractiveness for employers. This also reinforces the international reference dimension of the Wine & Spirits Business MBA, audited on this occasion.

“This triple crown is a wonderful reward for our School,” says Stéphan Bourcieu, CEO of BSB. “This supports our development momentum and perfectly launches our UP 2027 strategic plan, for which obtaining AMBA was one of the first priorities as a marker of excellence at the international level. This has greatly strengthened our ambitions, in particular our desire to become the reference school for student experience and to assert ourselves as the second business school in Lyon.”

“It is also an opportunity to take a big hat off to all our teams for the efforts that each and every one of us has been able to make in recent years. And more generally, it is a superb reward for the entire BSB community and its remarkable commitment: students, graduates and partners,” concludes Stéphan Bourcieu.
