The School of Wine partners with Deloitte Winery Solutions and Services

Online event on 15/02 on emerging technological trends in the wine industry

The School of Wine & Spirits Business has just established a global partnership with Deloitte Winery Solutions and Services — the department of an audit and consulting firm offering a specific portfolio of services to domains and businesses in the wine sector.

This collaboration is mainly focused on entrepreneurship and a series of conferences for students, graduates and the ecosystem of the School of Wine. The next one, on the theme of emerging technological trends in the wine industry, is being held online on 15/02.

Supporting wine entrepreneurship

Thanks to this partnership, students in the programs MBA WEB (Wine & Spirits Business) and CIVS Specialized Master (International Wine and Spirits Trade) can benefit from personalized support from Deloitte if they decide to embark on an entrepreneurial adventure. Whether it is the creation, the takeover of a field, or the creation of a start-up in retail, services or digital technology, student entrepreneurs have the opportunity in particular to confront their business plan with the expertise of the senior employees of Deloitte Winery Solutions and Services, who also participate in the course dedicated to entrepreneurship.

Entrepreneurship is part of the DNA of our School and is an area that we want to constantly strengthen. ” says Jacques Thébault, Director of the WSB MBA. ” This partnership is a real plus for our entrepreneurs in the wine world, who each year represent around 15% of the workforce at the School of Wine, and a quarter of our MBA students. Being able to pitch in front of such an audience of experts really makes it possible to boost projects, to become aware of certain realities and to stimulate trust. We want to deepen the partnership on this entrepreneurial dimension in the coming years.

A series of conferences on major trends in the sector

A cycle of three conferences is organized during the year, open of course to SWSB students, but also to alumni as well as to the SWSB ecosystem. These sessions, led by experts from Deloitte Winery Solutions and Services, aim to respond to the major issues of our time. Thus, after a meeting on the evolution of consumer trends in December, and before addressing the issue of sustainable development in April, emerging technological trends will be the subject of Deloitte Business Talks #2 February 15, 2024.

Michael Juergens, Global Director of Deloitte Winery Solutions and Services, with his teams, will lead these online exchanges and discuss the topics of AI, NFTs, digital assets, their possible uses and opportunities in the wine sector, etc.
