Hua-Victor Chen (BSB'14), a major digital number

Portrait of the Founder of Majordome Digital, a digital marketing agency

Hua-Victor came to school with very specific ideas about his future. Of Chinese origin, he would be International Marketing Director at Hermès and would work primarily in the Asian region. Training and internships often serve to strengthen a destiny. For him, it was exactly the opposite. “I gradually had to admit that I was thirsty for creativity and audacity, much more than for structured plans to deploy. I wanted to be able to think without too many constraints and try new things.”

So goodbye to international marketing in luxury and welcome to tech! An emerging inclination is enriched thanks to google. “I joined Google Art & Culture where I stayed for three years.” At the same time, and even a little earlier, Hua-Victor had developed a digital consulting activity as a self-employed entrepreneur, which allowed him to start his career as a consultant. “My project really matured as part of a second adventure with Google, Google Digital Workshops. It was a question of traveling around France to provide a form of digital evangelization free of charge to small businesses and SMEs. I thus had the opportunity to meet nearly 10,000 economic actors, in some 150 sessions. And to meet my future partner, Pierre Rettig.”

Digital butler, their digital marketing agency, advises all types of businesses to optimize their online presence and boost their growth. Majordome Digital's credo is to support and train. “Among our customers, we are proud to count 23 Printemps stores, Mercedes, Maped, Givenchy and... BSB! ”

Its Alumni network is that of BSB

BSB, exactly. Do you remember your first day? “My first day at BSB, which was not yet called BSB, is Open Day. That day, I said to myself: “I have to go.” My second first day, back to school, was so cool. I was where I wanted to be. With a well-defined professional project. From then on, nothing went as planned, at least for my professional project.”

For his life project, on the contrary, everything took root a little more every day at BSB. “My classmates have remained my best friends. And I am very proud to have represented the school in piano competitions and in corporate springboards.” After her Bachelor's degree, Hua-Victor did her Master's degree at another management school. And yet, unambiguously, its Alumni network is that of BSB. “Our first employee was an Alumni. On the mentor side, an Alumni, Emmanuel Bertin, helped me a lot in creating Majordome Digital.”

Today, in turn, the young boss is trying to be hyper-available for the school and for the Alumni. “Majordome Digital is a company but also an experience of operation and relationships with customers. The story is still very short. But I think I would like to pass on something from this laboratory that we are striving to cultivate. A form of permanent turmoil, of listening to the feelings of companies and of inventing collective functioning largely at a distance. All while generating profit and creating value for our customers.”
