Edouard Mognetti takes over the management of the School of Wine & Spirits Business

Edouard Mognetti is appointed Director of the School of Wine & Spirits Business (SWSB) at BSB. He succeeds Jérôme Gallo, who has been at the helm since the creation of the structure in 2013 — and who is continuing his career at BSB.

A graduate of the University of Burgundy, Edouard Mognetti holds an Executive Master from EM Lyon as well as a Specialized Master in International Wine and Spirits Trade (MS CIVS) from SWSB. Having held responsibilities within the Piffaut Vins & Domaines family group, he spent 7 years at the Interprofession des Vins du Centre Loire (Bureau Interprofessional des Vins du Centre — BIVC), where he was CEO since 2020.

I am very happy to see BSB and SWSB again, on the other side of the mirror this time. ” indicates Edouard Mognetti. “I have a visceral need to give meaning to what I do. This was the case by defending a collective interest, and it is just as true by contributing to the quality of the training of future professionals in the sector. And that with my passion as a common thread!

Excellence, territory and international development

He details his goals at the head of the institution:” The SWSB is today a pioneer and key player in wine and spirits management training, as demonstrated once again this year by the MS CIVS ranking No. 1 in France according to the Eduniversal ranking. The aim will be to reinforce the School's leadership position and to continue its development. It will be necessary to capitalize on the flagship programs, strengthen the training offer while maintaining the level of quality that characterizes the school in this area, in order to increase its visibility and its territorial and international attractiveness. Excellence, territory and international development will be the basis of our ambition by 2035.”

The arrival of Edouard Mognetti comes as part of a reorganization of SWSB to support its growth, with the appointment of Lara Agnoli as Head of the Wine Business Department. Lara Agnoli obtained a PhD in “Wine Economics and Rural Development” at the University of Florence. She has been an associate professor in Wine Economics at BSB since 2016.
