BSB signs the Higher Education LGBT+ Commitment Charter

For the recognition and valorization of sexual orientations and gender identities

Tuesday, March 5, 2024, BSB signed the Higher Education LGBT+ Commitment Charter, supported by the association The Other Circle. BSB thus affirms its desire to recognize and value the diversity of sexual orientations and gender identities.

This signature also demonstrates the School's strong commitment to creating an inclusive work and study environment on its campuses and to training the caring professionals of tomorrow. BSB is one of the first 5 major French management schools to sign this Charter.

This Charter was signed in the presence of Stéphan Bourcieu, CEO of BSB, Christophe Berthier, President of L'Autre Cercle Bourgogne Franche Comté, Charles-François Perrone, Head of the Higher Education LGBT+ Commitment Charter at L'Autre Cercle, L'Autre Cercle, Anne-Laure Brochet, Accreditation and CSR Project Manager at BSB, as well as the students Théo Grandgirard, President of the Federation BSB Students, and Clara Louise Pett, President of the Equality Association. Commitment to the values of responsibility, inclusion, diversity, and equality

Stéphan Bourcieu spoke about this signature:

The place and experience of our students are central to the philosophy of BSB. Our CSR strategy is deliberately very ambitious and we are already particularly active on the themes of disability and gender equality. The signing of the L'Autre Cercle Higher Education LGBT+ Commitment Charter is a strong signal that confirms that our School is committed to respecting the values of responsibility, inclusion, diversity and equality, and has integrated them into all its activities and the projects it supports.

We thus invite students to actively contribute to a community that is aware of its role in making things happen and advancing mentalities, so that tomorrow's society considers inclusion and diversity as strengths and assets. The School also sets an example as a company, by welcoming employees with the greatest respect for their identity throughout their careers.

Initiated in 2020 by L'Autre Cercle, in partnership with CAELIF (Collective of LGBTQ+ student associations in Île-de-France) and FAGE (Federation of General Student Associations), the draft of this Charter was born from the desire to support higher education institutions in their inclusion practices for LGBT+ staff, teachers and students. The Higher Education LGBT+ Commitment Charter is a variation of L'Autre Cercle's LGBT+ Commitment Charter. BSB is the fifth major French management school to sign this Charter.
