BSB is eating Lyon!

A new campus and the MGE accessible from pre-master

Established in Lyon since 2012, BSB is continuing its development in the Capital of Gauls: next spring, it is inaugurating a new 3,000 m2 campus that will fit perfectly into the DNA of the School.

Candidates from preparatory classes will be able to join the Grande Ecole Master (MGE) there from the first year (pre-master) from the start of the 2021 school year, and thus have the choice between the Dijon Campus and the Lyon Campus. The latter places particular emphasis on work-study programs, in support of the growing demand from students and businesses in the region.

Different campus, same DNA

By continuing to expand in Lyon, an objective included in its #BSB2022 strategic plan, the School wishes to replicate its educational model in the heart of a region where demand is strong. “This new campus reproduces what is at the heart of our DNA and has made us successful in Dijon: a Grande Ecole on a human scale, focused on proximity to students and their support” explains Stéphan Bourcieu, CEO of BSB.

“Our Burgundy site is reaching its limits in terms of hospitality and our philosophy is not to engage in a race for gigantism. It seems appropriate to us to offer Lyon the same type of attractive offer as in Dijon, by expanding our recruitment area.” 200 students in 2019, 370 in 2020: the number of BSB Lyon will continue to increase sharply and they will eventually be between 700 and 800 attending this new campus, half of which will work on an apprenticeship.

The Grande Ecole Master from the first year

This will be the novelty in 2021: candidates from preparatory classes or from the Passerelle 1 Competition will now have the choice between Campus Dijon and Campus Lyon to complete their first year of MGE. At the end of this year, they will be able to continue in Dijon, Lyon and/or internationally depending on their choice of career.

Focus on alternation

This modality is in fact experiencing a real boom. It is adapted to the needs of local businesses, which are in high demand, especially in the current economic context marked by Covid. It is also very popular with students as it combines academic excellence, field experience and means of financing your studies.

BSB has thus doubled the number of open work-study places, which students from Lyon can achieve through a professionalization contract or an apprenticeship contract. As of next year, 120 to 150 students will follow a work-study program in Lyon (in M1 and M2) within the MGE BSB.

Place to live, expanded offer

This brand new campus, which will be inaugurated in spring, is located in the heart of the Monplaisir district, in the 8th arrondissement of Lyon. Like the Dijon campus, it was designed as a real place to live, with small classrooms for local education, a gym, associative spaces and numerous coworking spaces.

Three programs will be offered there: the Bachelor, a 3-year post-baccalaureate program approved by the State; the MSc Digital Leadership; and the MGE, a historic program which will therefore be accessible from the pre-master's level starting next school year.
