From 5th to 8th July 2022 at BSB Dijon, special day for professionals on 5th July
For the first time, BSB and the School of Wine & Spirits Business (SWSB) will host the annual international conference of the AWBR (Academy of Wine Business Research) in Dijon, from 5th to 8th July 2022. This is the most important academic event dedicated to the wine business in the world. Nearly 100 international researchers will be present. The day of 5th July will be open to professionals, with three round tables on key themes (impact of Covid, industry engagement and sustainability).
Meeting of the best wine business researchers
From Europe, South Africa, Australia, Canada and the United States, 65 leading researchers will share their projects and research results on wine and the wine business at this new AWBR international conference.
“This is a valuable event as traditionally academic wine research can be quite different in different regions: research either conducted at institutions located in renowned wine regions, or by researchers working at institutions located on the periphery of these major wine regions“, explains Steve Charters MW, a wine business professor at the SWSB. “The aim of this international scientific event is to bring together researchers so that they can carry out unique and innovative research projects in the wine and wine trade sector“.
Open day for professionals on 5th July
In order to forge links between the academic world and the sector, the day of 5th July will be open to professionals. The launch round table on the theme of “The world of Wine Business after Covid-19” (9.30-11.30 a.m.) will be a highlight of the day.
Two other round tables are also on the programme: “Industry engagement” (2pm-3.30pm) and “Wine and sustainability” (4pm-5.15pm).
